OREOS ANYONE!

SPACE DERBY!!

So who knows what a space derby is???? Oooh ooh, I do I do!!

I got to experience my first little taste of Cub Scouts the other night. Porter had the Space Derby. Its like the Pinewood Derby thing but you make a little Rocket and then you race them on this wire thingy and they use elastics to propel them or something. Anyway very interesting. Wade learned quite a bit trying to make the little rocket. There is a lot more to it than one might think. There is sanding, painting, gluing, etc. We ended up with a pretty decent rocket. It won a few races. It was fun to see all the boys and Dads. In all actuality I think it is more for the Dads! Anyway Porter had a great time and really loves Scouts!! I truly can't believe I have to be involved in this whole scouting thing. I know nothing about it. Good thing I have my trusty Eagle Scout of a husband to help me out because I foresee a lot of scouting in our future!!

My little Rexton is just so funny! He just loves to watch his dad shave and thinks that every time he gets out of the shower or bath, he has to shave and put on deodorant just like Wade. I thought I would just share these darling little photos of him. He really is quite hilarious lately. He comes up with the funniest little sayings and is getting to be so much his own little self.

The Hair Stylist

I have decided to become a professional hair stylist. I will just work from home and after much contemplation, I have decided to accept only one client at this time. The client I have chosen does not complain or give direction, She just lets me run the show. I only have to keep her occupied with toothpaste, extra curlers, jewelry, combs, brushes and anything else she desires to get her hands on. I know you are all dying to get an appointment with me but I am afraid that my talent cannot be shared with you at this time. (maybe in the future) :)
So recently I found a fun new way to spend Sunday afternoon or rather any afternoon. Playing with Elsie's hair! I try all new kinds of do's but her hair is just so unruly. Anyway she is just so fun. She looked so dang cute in all of the little curlers but not so much after I took them out. Well SHE was still dang cute but not quite the hair style I was looking for!!

Baptism!!

Porter got baptized the day after his birthday. It was a really neat experience. I truly can't believe that he is old enough to be baptized. There was a really nice program and then the baptism and confirmation. It was short and sweet and just perfect. We then went back to our house and had a little dinner and cake and ice cream. Porter looked so dang handsome in his little suit. He has always wanted a suit and I always told him he could get one when he turned eight. So he got a new suit, belt and shoes. He kept looking in the mirror and saying, Hmm I look good!! I just can't believe I look this good!! He is funny and surely takes after his dad!! It was a really great weekend. We had all of our family here for his birthday and baptism. It was a lot of fun for him to have all of his cousins in town. It was a crazy and fun weekend. I can not believe how fast time flies.

HAPPY B-DAY PORTER!!

Wade bought him this Jersey and he thought it was so cool!
He then got a BB gun! (He has been waiting for like 4 years for this)
The next was a Nintendo DS. It was surprise so he was sooo excited!!
He had two cakes, one because he just turned two and one for turning eight!
(plus there were a lot of kids)
My little leap day baby turned 8 on the 29th. He was so excited to actually have a real birthday this year. I can not believe he is eight years old. I am so old!! Since this was only the second real birthday he has every had, we decided to have a big party. He invited his whole class and we had a swimming party. Talk about CRAZY!! The kids swam for an hour and then we had hot dogs, chips, pop, cake, and ice cream. It was tons of fun but once again, CRAZY. There were about 36 kids, that was including friends and cousins. Then that night all the cousins, 12 of them had a sleep over at my house where we played games and had more fun. Needless to say I was quite exhausted. Plus the next day he got baptized. But we had a great time!!
