I just had to post these pictures of Rex and Elsie. They are so funny together and have so much fun. Elsie is quite the character and has to have shoes on all the time. She loves to pick them out and has to wear the ones that she chooses. She thought she was all that running around in her diaper and her black church shoes. They are hilarious. Hell on wheels but hilarious. Did I mention they cause all kinds of disasters together and on some days, make me what to pull my hair out. But never the less, cute and hilarious.

Check out those thunder thighs, too bad she has to take after her mom.
And at such a young age. So sad.

Hello

I know it has been forever since I have posted. Things have been little crazy with the rush of the Holidays. We had a great Thanksgiving and now Christmas is almost here. I love the holidays. The kids are so excited. They are all at really fun ages. I am so excited myself. It has been snowing all day which is really setting the stage for Christmas. Yeah. Anyway, Merry Christmas to all of you. I will be back after Christmas with many festive pictures. Farewell!

Miami Sammy & Bahama Mama (long post)

We recently returned from a little trip to Miami and then on a 3 day cruise to the Bahamas. We had a grand time. We went with my sister Nicole and her husband Troy. I didn't get many pictures. What you see is pretty much all I took.
The first thing we did we when we got to Miami was to go to Miami Beach. There we rented these little G0-Cars. They are GPS navigated and take you on a talking tour of the area. They tell when to turn and what is all around you. You drive on the regular roads with cars so it was just a tid bit scary but WAY fun. I definitely recommend them. They have them in San Fran, San Diego, and Miami Beach. It was so fun to see Miami Beach area at night. We ate at a fun crazy restaurant. It was a blast.
The next morning we went to this air boat place. This was also a blast and a tid bit scary. We took a ride through the Everglades and saw a lot of Alligators, turtles, and other weird wild life. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. He also had us hold one of his pet alligators. As you can tell by the disgusting look on my face, I was not that excited. But it really wasn't too bad.
After the air boat tour, we went to the Miami bay area and took the Millionaire's Row tour. They take you on a fun boat ride and all around the private islands and point out all these huge mansions and famous peoples houses. It was pretty cool.
This is the sunset as we left the port of Miami for our cruise. The cruise was a ton of fun. We really enjoyed ourselves. No major mishaps except for my hugely dilated pupils which made me look like I had big black eyes.(caused by a medicine patch I put on for motion sickness). They didn't go down for days which was quite fun having all that light penetrating my eyeball. :)
One of the days was at CocoCay, Royal Caribbeans private island. It was fabulous. The weather was so hot. We just relaxed and floated in the water on these little mats. Took it easy and enjoyed ourselves. I definitely could have used a couple more days at CocoCay.
Our last stop was at Nassau. Sadly, the weather was not so hot. It was really windy and not too nice. It was a fun stop. We mostly just shopped. We did however check out the big Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island. It was nice but cost a fortune to do anything and the weather was bad so we did even entertain the idea. We had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves. We have however been getting pay back from our kids. They have been rotten since I returned and Elsie won't leave my side. Good Times though, Good Times!!!

HALLOWEEN 2008 It was GREAT, It Was GREAT!

Halloween was a ton of fun this year. Probably one of the funnest I have had. We went to the ward Trunk or Treat which was fun. I dressed up as a witch not a very good witch never the less, a witch. My kids loved that I dressed up. Even though I looked like dork. They thought it was awesome. So I took one for the team. (I usually never dress up in fact, I don't think that I ever have since I was in high school). Then after the trunk or treat, my friend Jamie and I took the kids to some of the more scary houses in town. The ones that really go all out. It was great see the kids laugh, scream, and just have so much fun together. Then later that night, we left the kids, and went to the Haunted Barn. It was AWESOME! I usually don't enjoy being scared but this was just so fun and scary. I would scream and then laugh and then dribble and laugh and scream and laugh and dribble, etc. and yes, by dribble I do mean pee. I laughed so hard I peed. (Don't try to tell me some of you people don't do that)!! Anyway, all in all it was a fabulous night. And the best part is I have confiscated almost all the candy and stockpiled all for my own use. YEAH. I just can't enough. I was so fortunate to have four little trick or treaters this year. :)

The kids and little miss Witchy Poo!

Every year we go out to the long term care to visit the residents. This is the kids with their Great Grandma Firmage. She has Alzheimer's and really doesn't have a clue what is going on. So, so sad, but nice to still be able to see her.

This is my friend Jamie's three cute daughters who are all great friends, and Porters best buddy Klellin. They really had a blast!

Girls Night Out!!

We had a girls night out,.where we partied like rock stars all night long. GO BABY!! No just kidding, we had a quiet night of dice, food, and chit chat! Not necessarily quiet, I mean really I was there! It was a great night and we all dressed up and had a little Halloween Party. It was tons of fun. I was a little flash back to 1998. It was great fun! This is the posse!!

We had a little Halloween party for all the little cousins. It was really fun. We played some fun games and had lots of fun food. The picture explains the food (oh so fun). Porter is a boy werewolf, Crayton is Iron man, Rexton is a firefighter and Elsie is Minnie Mouse. I plan to post more pictures of them in their costumes on Halloween so stay tune. Ta Ta Now~

MY DEAR FRIEND!!

I just wanted to do a little post about my dear friend Amber who I love dearly. I had the opportunity to attend the sealing of their beautiful daughter to she and her husband in the Timpanogos Temple. It was an amazing experience. I was so happy that I was able to go. My heart felt such joy for them. They are such a beautiful family. Amber is such a great example and has been such a wonderful friend. I love you girl. Not only are you gorgeous on the outside but also on the inside. Thanks for your unwavering faith and courage. You are a quite the woman!! (Sorry for all the cheesiness but you know its got to come out sometime.)

Amber, Syd, Lacey & I

Congrats to you!

PANIC!

The other day, I lost Rexton. I am not quite sure how you loose someone in your own house but we lost him. Wade's brother Nate stopped by for a visit and all the kids came to the door and gave him a love and yada yada, then went about their way. The two older boys then began to fight and punch each other and so I began to discipline them in my usually way, (calmly taking them to their room for a quiet time out, right!!) Anyway after a few minutes I am like Where is Rex? No one has seen him and we can't find him, I search high and low. I run outside and look, nowhere in sight. I am checking every nook and cranny trying to find him and yelling his name at the top of my lungs. The kids and I are looking in every closet, drawer, under beds, etc. After about 15 or 20 minutes, I am really starting to freak! I kept telling myself he has to be in the house somewhere. He would not have gone outside because it was snowing and he didn't have any shoes on but I thought I had checked every spot he could possibly be until I checkedunder the bathroom sink in the downstairs bathroom, and there he was......

(So this isn't the actual picture from when I found him, (Who had time for a photo?)but I tried to get him to reenact the scene. Very difficult for a 3 yr old to pretend to sleep! Funny!

Sound asleep under the bathroom sink. I swear I had checked there but it was the one place the only place in the entire house I did not look. I had gone in and looked behind the shower curtain but not under the sink and there he was. I was so relived. He woke up when I swept him into my arms and said, "I'm tired Mommy." Anyway, talk about heart attack city!!I think I physically shook for 10 minutes after I found him. You can't imagine the crazy things that ran through my mind, But all is well, all is well!!!

FLAG FOOTBALL

(WOW I posted a lot of pictures)
Flag football is underway and going pretty well. It is fun to go and watch the boys. Porter's class is really talented. They have several very, very, good athletes. Wade is coaching along with Jason Bradshaw. (Jason's boy is Klellin who is Porter good buddy). They do well and are really great coaches. They have this awesome little play book with all their plays in it. It is so fun to see them run the plays. It actually quite amazing because sometimes they do tricky little plays. Porter loves it because he has a couple of really good friends on his team. They have won 3 lost 1. So the team is doing great!

What a cute little huddle discussing the next big play!!
Porter getting ready for the play

(That is his good friend Klellin who plays quarterback and passes off to him)

Oh the determination! (Porter is good little athlete and quite competitive) I say he gets all of his speed from me, but Wades disagrees so I came to the conclusion that it is probably 90/10 with me in favor. No really though I think all of our boys will be pretty good little athletes and maybe Elsie. Crayton & Rex love to go to practice with Wade. Crayton is actually really good. He still has a couple of years before he can actually play.

He is on the move

Wade observing and little Crayton (in the Gray) right in the middle of it all taking in and making mental notes of all the plays. The boys like come home and draw up their own plays on paper. They actually have come up with some pretty decent ones.

This is what Elsie does at the games. She runs around and gets all the cones off the sidelines then she tries to put them on her head or hit Rexton with one. And if she is not doing that, she is running out onto the field to find her Daddy. Rexton usually just hangs out and cheers, and then teases Elsie and then chases her out onto the field. OH YEAH, constant entertainment!!

Apparently Deer LOVE Starburst!!

We went for a Saturday afternoon drive. We headed up to the grove area because we always see deer up there and the kids love it. This particular day we saw two pretty nice size bucks so Wade stopped and did this little whistle and low and behold both the Bucks came bounding over to the Posh mini van:) We had nothing in the van but Starburst so I unwrapped one and yep one of the bucks took it right out of his hand and ate it. So apparently they love Starburst. (It really is a shame that they are like pets. It was cool for the kids but it is really is sad)!

This is the first buck that came to Wade's window
This was the other one that came to the kids window!
At one point, the buck stuck his head in the window

and Elsie started screaming scared to death. At that point I said

lets get out of here. That too close for comfort!!

These are the bucks as we drive back by.
